After reading this forum thoroughly and seeing the number of people saying that the were declined for the BOA secured card, I was skepitical about applying. I instead chose Public Savings Bank who I have had for a year now paying on time and never late. After PSB was closed by the FDIC, I decided to try my luck with BOA and was approved!!!
A year ago my FICO score was 418, I'm at 541 now, still trying to climb this credit score ladder, but I know it takes time..... ;-)
Congrats on the approval, great card.
yeah congrats, should graduate to be a great card one day
Congratulation!
Make sure, if you can afford it, deposit as much as possible into it because that will be a 99.99% your future CL + some extra on your graduation day.
BTW, my score was a bit higher than that awhile back and I got declined twice. Do you have any baddies?
Also, BOA will graduate the card at 9 mos if I remember right
@ontop That was my plan. As soon as I figure out how to add to the CL I was thinking of adding $100 - $200 a month. More if I can!! LOL
@xlr8d I do have baddies. 8 baddies with more than half with zero balances showing. 1 Judgment due to fall off in 2013 and around 15-16 inquires (car shopping). I honestly dont think they pulled a credit report because my FILES are LOCKED. I will be sure to let you all know. I'm about to check in a few.
UPDATE: No HARD PULLS or SOFT as of 10/07/11 Will continue to check, but it should be showing by now if I was APPROVED already... *shrugs*
@-Cain- Thanks for the heads up.... Let me slow these horses down of mine. 0_o lol
