Ability to post pending MR points going away?

Just called American Express to get pending MR points posted. I was told they can do this right now but the ability to get "loans" on points is going to go away from July 1 (or did he say June 1?).

I hope this CSR is misinformed. I just used a points advance to book a flight, saving me quite a bit of money. It is a very helpful feature for those of us who use the card regularly.

I wonder if it's card-specific? Which card do you have?

I assumed it meant that you are being given points that aren't yours just yet.

Yes it's been confirmed by Amex and will end on June 30.
