Re: Advice on next card please

Citi Forward would work then, but depends what your history looks like. If you have at least 6 months of good solid history and no baddies you should have a good chance, good luck!

Barclays Uber - 4% Restaurants, 2% Online Purchases/Everyday Card || PenFed Cash - 5% Gas || Amazon Visa Signature - 5% Amazon || U.S. Bank Cash+ - 5% Utilities, 5% Cable/Internet || AMEX BCP - 6% Groceries || WF Cash - Cell Insurance || Rotating 5% Categories - Chase Freedom, Discover It, Citi Dividend || AMEX Zync - For Fun!

Citi Forward card, IF you are a student.

Otherwise its best to work on getting a US Bank Cash+ card. If you can't apply in a branch, then go for a US Bank Platinum, and after a few months call to PC it to the Cash+, its worth the effort. No signup bonus though.

After that, you have to drop down to 3% restaurant options. Chase AARP visa signature card(3% Gas Station and Restaurant, no caps), or Huntington Voice. Or I suppose the American Express Lowes Business Rewards card (3X Restaurant, Office Supply stores, Wireless telephone), if you are willing to consider business cards.

my only thought on that would do you think you would use it that much , you already have IT and Freedom. Aren't UR pts more valuable than TYP?

Re: Advice on next card please

You're probably right I think I'm intrigued by the sign up bonus. I'm itching for another card

+1    I was thinking the same thing. You seem to have a great cc lineup!  Btw, how do you like your Chase Hyatt?  I was just approved earlier this week, and the signup bonus seems to be really good.

You could also get a Chase Amazon card then, and a Citi Dividend as well. Who knows, you might even use the Dividend someday for the 5% rotating category.

Eventually you would transfer the credit limit from the Chase Amazon to your Freedom, and close the Amazon.

It looks like you haven't gotten a Barclaycard signup bonus yet. I suggest the Sallie Mae Rewards Smiley Wink

Re: Advice on next card please

I just met the spend requirement on the Hyatt card and am looking forward for my two free nights....cool looking card though, I probably wont use it a ton for everyday spending but will keep for the one free night a year

I do like the idea of the amazon just for combining the limits later on
