As others suggested, you can try a higher amount, and then, if income verification is required, you can simply use the back button, reduce the amount and try again

Yep. But recently their website doesn't necessarily tell you IV is required. As reported in this thread, sometimes it gives a 7-10 day message and the IV request arrives a few hours later by email. The back button technique can still work in these instances.

You might want to edit your OP! I absolutely took it to mean the account was past due...and scratched my head as to why you thought they'd grant you a big--or any--CLI under those circumstances!
