Congrats !! Just build some good history with them and you'll get the BCE too !!+1
is BCE better because of no AF or is BCP even tho af is $75 but you get better rewards
It really depends, I mean most people pursue the BCE/P cards for the rewards. If by chance they spend more in one category over the other or if they spend enough to justify paying the $75 AF then it only make sense to get the BCP. However, some people just don't like the idea of an card with an AF and therefore the BCE is the best route for them.
Personally, I would only take the BCP over the BCE iff (if and only if) I was able to achieve a greater sum-total in rewards on the BCP, in addition to the $75 AF.
i was getting because of the 3% cash back on gas but if i can get a PC for my student BoA card to the Cash card..ill get BCE insted...and slate PC to Freedom for the 5% cash back on gas and food stores... ZYNC will still be used as every day card
The BCE is in my crosshairs 1 year from now!!!! I want to cherish my Zync card and let it grow.......................................

I don't like the idea of an AF, even if I make enough to reimbuirse it yearly and then some. Just because I like to be able to stash the card away and forget about it any point. But I also been thinking about getting the Blue Sky instead, I used to think very little of travel cards.. but after thinking about it - maybe a trip to Miami or Hawaii would be fun, and I can slowly get there with a travel card.
But I haven't heard of anyone talking about the Blue Sky at all.. I'm not too worried right now - I'm in full gardening mode now that I basically escaped from having only a Capital One card. When time comes, I'll research a little more about it.

Have you applied recently man? I have a super thin file and I had some baddies back in 2005-2008 (I had no history credit back then and it ended up as wage garnishment, so you can say I had a really bad start.) After having this Capital One card for a year with perfect use, I managed to get approved.. I don't see it being too far out of reach for you with your credit score.
