I just wanted to confirm with someone else here that it seems pre-approval offers come up a few days after your statement cuts on the amex site.  I logged in and finally noticed I was "pre-approved" for Platinum and Gold.  I guess I'll wait until I get a good offer in the mail to apply for a charge product.

If you're wanting the Platinum card, they're offering 50K MR points for first-time platinum cardholders.  You can find the offer at thepointsguy.com or by searching for it on the web.  You'll likely have to clear your cookies for the link to work.

Re: AmEx pre-approval soft pull site

I'm not a cardmember, so my situation may be a little different. I've tried see if I was pre-approved or pre-selected a few times and I've noticed recently, that I always get the message, "sorry we couldn't find any offers for you". This, despite, the fact that my score has increased.

I will agree that the site is a little backwards. I haven't applied for an Amex in years, as I was declined the only time I applied. I was an AU on my mom's Amex cards for a few years.

I recieved the same message:   "sorry we couldn't find any offers for you".   I applied anyway for the green AMEX. and was instantly approved.  I believe the "offers" really doesnt matter.   AMEX pulled my EX.

Re: AmEx pre-approval soft pull site

I don't know what my EX is.  But my EQ score has increased recently AND I would imagine TU did as well. I'm not lookig to apply right now anyway. I'm on a mission to pay everything off. Been carrying around way too much debt for way too long. I'll apply in the future and hopefully they'll backdate because I was an AU on my mom's account. She was with them forever.
