If you cease to be an Eligible Amazon Prime Member or your Amazon Prime Store Card account is not in good standing, you will not receive the 5% back benefit
So that at least is the claim. Will it happen? Probably at some point, as either Amazon could inform Synchrony that a prime card holder is no longer prime, or the bank could check with Amazon periodically.
So not a safe loophole
