Hello everyone, I'm trying to stay away from having anymore Inquiries, I've gotten 3 this year with their one year anniversaries being on feb, march, April of 2013. I'm currently shopping for textbooks for school on amazon and their offering a nice credit card with nice rewards and an automatic credit of $30.00 my textbooks are costing me $$$ so, I was wondering if the inquiry would be worth it. Thank you
I do not know how much further you have to go with your education to earn your degree but if I was in your situation and school books are at a decent price at amazon and you will have to continue to buy school books in the future I would try to get their card as your credit scores are decent enough to where you should get approved and can save some money as well, I would not worry about the inquiry too much it only counts for 1 year of any hit on your credit report. Good Luck if you decide to do this.
Store Card by GE Bank or Visa by Chase?
I know of the $30 for the Visa...
The good thing for the store card is 6+ months that they offer 0% sometimes.
The visa
Just to let you know I applied for the holidays and was approved last Friday for the Amazon visa card from chase with a $5,000.00 cl ex report was pulled with 5 inquiries with already having 2 chase accounts, you should have a good chance since you already have a chase account and have a relationship with them already.
I my Chase Amazon Signature VISA! I shop a LOT at Amazon and I eat out a lot (2x points at restaurants), so this is my main card now. I say Go For It!
3 inquiries isn't too bad. I say go for it. I've heard great things about the card, and I wanted it for the longest time, but right now my Citi Forward gives me 5x points on Amazon, and Discover gives me 5% throughout December.

I didn't know that. Have you tested it out? Like, if you buy a $2000 digital SLR from Amazon, will you get 10,000 Thank You points?
