American Express Upgrade Offer from Green to Gold

I called AmEx on one of my other cards with them, and the guy gave me the latest offer - for upgrading from my Green card to the Gold. At one time, I had the Gold, but I downgraded to the Green because I thought that the Gold AF at that time was too high - it is even higher now! BUT - the deal was so good, I just couldn't refuse it. After spending $2,000 within the first 90 days, I will get 40,000 Membership Rewards points. Also, the offer included a $120 annual dining credit ($10/month max) at select restaurants, as well as an annual credit of $100 for incidental airline charges. I do believe that this time, it will be worth the AF - I love AmEx!

Congrats on the upgrade. 40k points is a nice little bonus.
I have no problem at all offsetting the AF with what I get out of this card both through perks and points.

Maybe I'll downgrade to Green when the new AF hits in 20, and hope for that same upgrade offer! lol

Though I wonder if Rose Gold would still be available later on if I did this?

Kinda deviates from the main topic, but is the Gold considered a charge card? And then I saw the Pay-over-Time feature, which I'm assuming any transaction over $100 can be subject to the POT feature? I'd be interested in the card, I just don't like the idea of the charge card.
