I asked them what card it was put on since I never got an alert. The guy told me not to worry about it and to make sure I got to safety as quickly as possible. I’m not sure what he meant by that.
After I got checked into the hotel. A different representative from Member services called and asked me if I was safe and needed anything at all. Cash, passport replaced etc. If I needed anything to please call back and they would do their best to assist me.
I was told that they would be waiving all cash advance fees on my card for the next 7 days.
If it wasn’t for Amex this evening getting me a room at a hotel that I had previously called and was told was sold out. I really don’t know where I would be right now.
The roads are so flooded that there would have been no way for me to drive even if I could have gotten my car started.
Luckily I’m safe now, but this is a mess.
Amex really went above and beyond this evening. I have to say. I will be making some phone calls to the EO office to try to get those guys some kind of bonus

It's great that you're safe and awesome to hear how AmEx came through for you, especially in the situation you were in. Make me want to grow my AmEx card CL more.
