I recently requested the 3xcli from 6K to 18K and got the 7-10 day message. How can I check the status of the request online?
When I click on the request increase in credit line, it is still showing me an option to request the credit line increase! What does it mean? That I have been denied? It has been 3 business days and still no email response! I am getting very imaptient, is there any backdoor number for finding out my status? I tried chatting with a representative, but she said she is not with the cli department, so I would have to wait for a response. I am at a loss as to what to do.

Wait for a response? You should be able to either chat with them or call a backdoor number in the thread in the sticky and ask who you should talk to. In my experience, the couple of times I got the 7-10 day message I was denied but YMMV.
So, it is normal for the same credit line increase screen to appear even after a request is still pending? Or am i doing something wrong?
Im in the same boat. Tried for my 61 day cli on July 7th, still have not heard anythng! I keep checking my emails etc. Im guessing it was denied. Whats your CS? My EX is 745 and I ran around 2k through the card & have not apped for anything since or b4 I got the Delta Gold & PRG in one credit pull.
AMEX is funny for CLI's for me. When I get the 7-10 day response, it is always a denial. I haven't been approved for a CLI in nearly 2 yrs (they said I had too much avail credit for my income). Then they turn around and approved me for a Everyday card last month.
You probably will have to wait it out (no matter how hard it seems).
Ive checked my email and nothing has been sent

The "7-10 day letter" is usually sent via standard (snail) mail, not via email.
I just wanted to add to this thread and let you know my experience so far with Amex.
I was approved for the Blue Cash Everyday card.
I called to get a initial credit limit increase and went through about 4 customer service reps and 4 phone calls to finally speak to someone who was willing to actually listen.
The reason I asked for the higher initial limit was because another card gave me more to start with.....
They said wait 60 days....anyways just wanted to say that I think their customer service over the phone sucks I have a bad feeling about them already.
In your case once you clicked the credit limit increase button it should not be there anymore since it is pending right....and you should be at least able to speak to a human to see what is going on after 3 Whole days in my opinion, I completely feel your pain ; This is American Express right?? Things we expect like great customer service and favoring your applicants that you have approved....???? Hello???? Can you guys learn anything from Discover....
Norcal you really called 4-5 different times about this? And you're now upset because they wouldn't give you a CLI on a brand new account before your 61 days are even up? Wow.
