Amex AU bonus offer

Hi Myfico

I apologize if this has been asked before; I wanted to confirm whether someone who has been an authorized user on an american express card be eligible for the speical bonus if he/she applied for the same product later?

Ex. If I had the PRG as an AU and now apply for my own PRG will I get the 50k MR bonus after meeting the spending requirement?

Yes! As long as you specfically have never had the card then you would receive the bonus too.

Also another weird thing has been happening lately.  If you do get an AU bonus offer, you can proceed without entering in the social security number and the card will arrive.  So in my mind I was thinking folks could prevent extra accounts from showing up by doing it this way.  But when it is done like this, usually a letter will come requesting the SSN in order to activate the card.
