The "soft pull" American Express ARs that are seen on your credit reports, are these automated reviews generated by their computers, or are they actual manual reviews where someone in their credit services dept is manually reviewing your credit? I have 3 that appear on my Experian report in the last 2 months, as recent as yesterday.. Are these also used to send out pre-approvals?

I honestly think it's computer generated because I noticed that when it appeared on my report that a chase soft inquiry also appeared the same day. Perhaps it is some subscription to notify changes.

Okay, thanks.. How frequent do you see these ARs from Amex on your reports?
They could be either. It is common practice for creditors to pull soft inquiries on existing or potential customers for whatever reason.
I have hundreds of soft pulls on my credit reports. If I worried about every single one of them I may as well go to the asylum....
It seems that Amex appears every other month just under American Express, but twice I noticed separate ones that said (Account Review) and both times other lenders have soft the same day. I have had the card about 7 months. So not often, but the account review memo still makes me uneasy..lol

uh, me too.. 
discover has only soft pulled me for AR just once, and only on one CA, since I opened my acct with them in Feb.. makes me a bit nervous so many in such a short time.. but I've opened a ton of new accounts this year since Jan - 13!

The only place I've been able to see soft pulls are on the actual CAs own websites..
Equifax shows them very clearly under the Inquiries section..
Experian and TransUnion can only be found if you go through the dispute process flow.. Oddly, in order to seem them, you need to pretend like you're doing a dispute and then they will show up under the inquires section..
