Hi,
I've had this Amex card for some time now, and my limit has increased from $1,000 to $3,000. I've heard that you can only increase your limit three times with Amex. Since I'm not interested in keeping a card with such a low limit, I was wondering if the community suggests closing this card?

Just to clarify, the "3x" rule is you can request a CLI that will triple your credit line, not that you're limited to only asking three times.
If your credit line is now $3k, on your next request you can ask for a new total credit line of $9k (they may counter or deny, but this is how much they might approve). Assuming you get approved, your next request could be for 3x that, or $27k... you get the idea. For someone with a clean profile and good Amex history even a modest Amex credit line can grow quickly.
I personally find the BCE to be a valuable card - I use mine for the 3% cash back on online purchases, as well as the Amex Offers. It's really not too shabby for a no-AF card. Of course if it's not working for you then definitely cut it loose.

This is great! Many thanks. My understanding of the rule was different. I thought that if my starting SL was 1K, it couldn't grow more than 3K (3x times).
@Cookiedough @Oh nahhh, you'll hit 30-35k (even more) provided you have the income and they like ya.
imo, keep it.
The Amex offers, 90% I don't use but I maybe get ~$50 back a quarter on my BCP. honestly depends when good ones come up.
Just on my EveryDay got my second 5K MR points for buying cologne at Dior. Now I wouldn't have ever bought from them, and I don't like blind buys if cologne, but I usually try in store and just made another order. Got a bottle 3 months ago and was pleasantly impressed and love the cologne I got, dispite low reviews.
5000 points could be ⅔ or 1/3 a flight ticket. Basically incredible return for $200.
OP, don't close it. It's a great card with no AF. I don't even carry mine, I just use it for online shopping. I have been amazed at all the things that code as online shopping with the BCE: Amazon, Walmart app, Walmart Pay in store, Home Depot app, REI app, JCPenny online, ACE Hardware app, even a dishwasher purchased online at Menards. It's become my catch all card. It is just so much easier to order something on an app and then pick it up.

That's a heck of an offer, and I too am a Dior enjoyer.
OP - as others have said, you can ask for 3x your current CL every 91 days. Great card that will grow. Mine is at $70k now.
