Amex BCE redeem in plane tickets?

I seem to remember back when I opened up my BCE that I can redeem my points 1:1.33 if I purchase plane tickets with it. Now I can't find any information on that.

Is this true or do I have a misunderstanding?

I have a little over 30k points. Is this convertible to the equivalent of $400 in plane tickets in any way?

Yeah, you are getting two products mixed up. The Blue sky cards are what you are thinking of, not the blue cash. Does you card say "cash" on it or have a little picture of a plane on the top rightish side?

Actually, is there any chance this is possible with the Blue Cash Everyday with some special promo?

There was a big promotion back when I opened the card (the only reason I opened was cuz of the promo) and I got 30k points back for the first $500 dollars used in first 3 months. And I think the promo letter also said that this is equivalent to $400 worth of plane ticket expense..

I used $500 dollars the first month and never even looked at the card since then.

Amex website shows a little over 30k points..

Re: Amex BCE redeem in plane tickets?

I just talked to Amex and confirmed the following.

There is a promo code connected to my account and the promotion was indeed

30,000 points for the first $500 spent

AND every 7,500 points will be converted to $100 of travel related purchases (planes, cruises, hotels, etc.)

That means that I will be getting 4% back on groceries each time! This is amazing.

Since PenFed platinum rewards point system switched on us, I will begin using BCE for all my groceries.

Something is a little strange because BCE doesn't use points.   It shows rewards available as a dollar value (e.g. $9.32).  So could you have a promo for another card, and have that one on your online account?

EDIT: Just saw your later post, so you got a nice promo!
