Just today I requested and was approved for 3x cli on personal amexcard. I requested that a portion of the line be applied to my Amex business card and was advised that a request would have to be submitted and approved. Not sure if the other card being business has anything to do with but it seems to not be a given. Not sure if it’s revelevant to your situation but thought I’d chime in
