hi guys,
i recently got approve for amex blue cash. in the acceptance letter it said my FICO score was 740 from experian.
questions:
1.is this the real fico score not fako?
2. how good is a score of 740 i am relatively new to credit.
thanks
The crazy part for me is that I just received the card. There was no FICO score anywhere mentioned although i did see an EQ hard inq only.
I recall that Amex is giving the BankCard Industry Score of v2 EX FICO. Did it quote a score range? I think it will say 250-900.
If that is true, then 740 is a bit above the median which is about 720.
yup it says the range 300 to 850

Yup that's a real EX FICO! 750 is generally regarded as 'Excellent' so pretty good.
I'm starting to wonder if someone gets their FICO only if the yare applied for credit card as opposed to a charge card. My card came and ther ewas no mention of any credit score. Is that normal?

That would be a Classic FICO, not BankCard Option.

I got a credit a month ago, but no FICO (sigh).
Didn't I read here that if you get the best terms (low APR) you don't get a score and if you don't get the best terms (higher APR) thats when you get a score???
