Amex Gold Card question

Hey guys,

I've got a question about this card.
Does anyone know if this card comes with concierge service?

Thanks in advance!

Re: Amex Gold Card question

IMO if you're thinking about the Gold, just do the PRG

Are you looking at the standard gold, or the premier rewards gold? In my opinion the PRG is the way to go, as the standard gold is essentially an identical product to the green card, and the PRG comes with a signup bonus and waived annual fee the first year. After that you can downgrade it to a cheaper charge card, or cancel it and get another card.

If you have any visa signature cards, most come with concierge service, as do world mastercards.

Well, theoretically, every Visa Signature and World/World Elite MasterCard comes with a concierge. Not sure about the MasterCard concierge, but every Visa Signature cardholder should be able to use the Visa Signature concierge, even if the number is not printed on the back of your card. There are plenty of no-AF Visa Signature and World MasterCards.

Visa Signature concierge is 1 (800) 953-7392

Cancel or downgrade before the AF is about to hit.

Re: Amex Gold Card question

For me, majority of the reason I'm getting this card is because of the status quo. I've always wanted a gold/plat card in my wallet since my dad had one. I used to take his expired ones and put them in my wallet as a kid.

So for me, it's more about personal achievement more than anything. I just want that gold card. I already got accepted for it, and the PRG doesn't make sense for me as I don't spend enough reap the benefits of that card.

Re: Amex Gold Card question

The annual fee is $50 more for PRG and it is leaps and bounds better than the regular gold.
