Can I product change from the Amex Gold to the PRG? Is there a different approval score needed?

If ou Gold is older than 13 months, then yes, if newer than 13 months than no.

Thanks Smerri1029! I'll need to wait a year. Just got approved for the Gold last month but I think my spending is going to justify the additional annual fee for the PRG.

wait till january, giving your card a little age, in January  AP for PRG for maximum back dating if you get it, if you don';t get it its only a SP, the first years  AF should be waived then you can close the Gold when its AF is due and you can get 10 years of the gold reporting.
