My statement closing date is July 20.  Now I know to not look for the update until after that date.

Soy Americano.

Ex is  usually the first to update. That's strange they haven't updated yet.  I always look at that report first for updates.

Re: Amex Green reported!!!!!

My statement closed on 6/27 and new Amex account hasn't reported to any CRA. Also, I assumed Membership Rewards points would post after the statement cut and was paid, but still no points in my account. Is that normal?

It took two statements before my account was reported to EQ and TU; still waiting on EX, go figure. My MR points from May just appeared a few days ago. I've read that Amex does have a certain amount of lag time before reporting to the CRAs and awarding points.

Re: Amex Green reported!!!!!

Oh, good. Nice to know that it's standard.

Also wanted to mention: I noticed that you indicated that your utilization would be different based on the Green reporting but it was my understanding that EQ and EX Fico scores don't include Amex charge accounts into utilization calculations. But they do with Amex revolving accounts (as normal). I believe that one version of the TU scoring does take charge accounts into utlization calc.

You may want to verify all that, though.

I'm just suggesting that as a possibility for why my scores didn't jump by more than 3 points for TU, and not at all for EQ, despite the increase in my history length and AAoA. I have two old accounts that are now PIF and will report a 0 bal in then next few days, so I'll get to see if that affects things at all. I have one last old account that I will finish PIF this month, and will report towards the end of the month.

I'm FINALLY at a point where later this month I'll be 100% free of consumer debt, so I'll have a good chance to play around with reported balances and util. It will be interesting to find out where my best spot is, and which card I should allow to report. Smiley Happy

Congratulations!!!! And Thank you AmEx for backdating, a win win all the way around.

Good for you tinu!!!!

And in addition,a MAJOR thank you to this forum! At first I had no intention of responding to the offer to apply, as I honestly believed that I was blacklisted and would waste an inquiry. If forum members hadn't pointed out that -- if I was, indeed, blacklisted, Amex wouldn't even bother to pull my report --  I would have passed on this opportunity. Thanks to the input from forum members, I was able to decide to move forward and was rewarded with my first card from a prime issuer in many, many years -- and gain the benefit from backdating!  I am so grateful for the knowledge that forum members share; it helps to be able to make informed decisions. Once again, THANK YOU!!! Smiley Very Happy

Re: Amex Green reported!!!!!

I just checked Experian, and my account has finally appeared! As with the others, the opening date is 05/1987. So, it's official... the account has reported and is backdated with all three CRAs. Yay! Smiley Happy
