Amex Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant increased SUB

I was checking Amex today, and I found that the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant has a SUB of 100k points compared to the usual 75k points after spending 5,000$.

The offer ends on 4/8/2020. I wish I could apply, but I already have 5 credit cards with Amex, and I can't cancel any cards before June Smiley Sad

Schwab Amex Platinum (NPSL); Amex Gold (NPSL); HH Aspire (31,700); Amex BBP (27,000); HSBC Premier WMC (18,000); USB Altitude Reserve (10,000); Chase Sapphire Preferred (5,800), Delta Platinum (5,000); Apple Card (4,750); USB Altitude Go (1,000)

Started collecting cards: Oct/2018

Re: Amex Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant increased SUB

You might as well try, there are some with more than 5 revolvers, because once you cancel a card, you might not even be eligible for future SUBs till they change their mind, if that was to happen.

I'm assuming your cards are relatively new, based on your previous posts and signature, so not much history for them to take into account.

$5k is hefty spend for this card and the points associated with it.

Re: Amex Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant increased SUB

I got 100k/$5k as an upgrade offer in late 2018. Maybe after downgrading I'll get 100k as a re-upgrade offer in late 2020 or early 2021.

Business use: Amex Bus. Plat., BBP, Lowes Amex AU, CFU AU

@wasCB14 ....my upgrade offer was only 1/2 of that Smiley Frustrated

Increased sub is very tempting!

Re: Amex Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant increased SUB

I would go for it but I doubt I'll be eligible for the SUB for whatever reason AMEX has Man Embarassed

probably a good thing as I don't think I could make the SUB anyways with me still having 3k to spend to get the Citi AA biz sub by June.
