Amex Platinum App "In Process"

I applied for Amex Plat a few days after I was approved for Starwood Amex. I got the dreaded 7-10 days message. I checked the status and it says "In process"

Is this a denial?

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Finally, these people are ridiculous. I had to do a three way call with my bank to verify my last name. My CRs have the correct name and the cards all have the correct name. The guy approved it after 44 minutes on the phone.  It took three calls, the first two reps told me to fax something in. Funny thing is I had a Gold Card with them before!
