But I did get a $10 statement credit for using it at Red Robin. Of course, that was through some Foursquare-linked offer for Amex.
@$10 credit for eating @ Red Robin is a great perk! Maybe you just need to pull the card out a little more purposefully. I was so hesitant to use it for the first time, that I kind of took it out of my wallet really slow.

You're going to be so happy with yourself in about 10 years when you realize you've had an AMEX for 10 years.
And that you were a part of these forums.
If only I could go back in time...

+1. I don't remember even thinking about Amex in my college days, but man if I could go back with what I know now...Amex wouldve been something I would of definitely went for first. You know, maybe I did came across Amex, but paying a higher AF compared to other cards didnt seem too appealing at the time.

Since my Zync's arrival, I haven't activated it and used my Gold as my Zync It still works. Now with this story, I might go ahead and activate it.
I've had a few good reactions as well.
One lady thought it was fake, as she had never seen an Amex like it.
One local business owner, and Platinum card holder was even impressed. He to said he thought he had/seen all of Amex products.
Great little card!
Just on the 4th, I was on Madison Ave. and bought some shoes at Barneys. The guy waited for the approval and then said he thought it was a fake. LOL, I guess they see mostly Platinum at Barneys.
