Hi good Evening everyone,
im been trying to rebuild my credit after a recent bankruptcy and I know I'm in the amex blacklist because they are one of the creditor that was included but I recently applied for a Credit One Amex card and was approved for 1k SL could that mean I'm not really in the blacklist ?

No this is still credit one that just using the AMEX network .
Since you stated you included AMEX in your BK, you will be on their naughty list for quite a long time.
Good luck on your rebuild .
Credit One Amex only uses the Amex payment network. It is not a real Amex issued by American Express. Sorry.
As mentioned upthread by @Jnbmom, any third party or partner bank using the AmEx network is not a product underwritten by American Express National Bank.
Unfortunately, there isn't an exact timeframe for when a previous cardmember is purged off from the AENB blacklist, but eventually a variety of individuals are able to rekindle the relationship.
@Albert_E63 I filed in April 2017 and was discharged in January 2021. I included Amex in my BK. I got back in with Amex 5 years and one month after filing. I now have a Gold; a BCE; a Hilton Honors and a Marriott Bonvoy Bevy. I converted my 13 into a 100 percent plan for my early DC, but Amex was included in my bankruptcy and I am back in with them.

I'm guessing the amount you burned AMEX for was relatively small. I filed Chapter 13 in early 2015 and when the discharge came through in 2020 AMEX was still out over $25,000; I tried getting a Delta card a few months ago but was immediately greeted with a message along the lines of, "We are unable to approve your application because we've closed one of your previous cards."

Im going through a similar thing now. Filed ch7 in 2015 and amex was one of many iib. I think iirc i only burned them for around $2000 or so. I havent tried since then but I am wanting back in with them and plan to try next year even if i have to call them up and make amends
Stayed on the blacklist for 12 years... almost to the day.
