Re: Amex for Heavy grocery usage

The points earned from the AMEX Amazon Prime Biz card can be used for statement credits for eligible charges or purchases through Amazon themselves

Wow he's throwing away so much money using Instacart... I looked and it would increase my bill somewhere in the ballpark of 30% to use them for my groceries because they mark up the cost of everything and they have delivery fees and tips... Amazon Prime Now is much better in that they charge the same price as at the store and you just pay tips but it still adds up.

Re: Amex for Heavy grocery usage

Here’s the Amex grocery lineup.

You can have multiple gold cards. I know several people with 5+ and one person that currently has 9. Each card gets 25K in spend. A little risky to have 5+ but 2-3 isn’t that bad.

Hilton Ascend for 6X groceries is pretty nice also 15K spend gets free night certificate. Hilton points aren’t terrible when you earn 6X. No cap either.

Delta Platinum now earns 2X at groceries uncapped. It’s part of a larger play for delta diamond as well if that matters to you. Delta miles aren’t my favorite but they can have their value.

I’m well versed in the MS world so that’s my suggestions.

Another great grocery card that’s non Amex is BOA Asiana. Great program that is lesser known. 50K to Europe in F is great! They also have a sweet spot to southern South America in J.

Total Revolving Limits $254,800

It’s totally food This guy works in a kitchen and buys all groceries ingredients
So I guess the Every day Preferred card is the next card it has the 50% extra points for the 30 purchases per month

If this is actually food purchases, your friend is going to do significantly better by buying in bulk from wholesale clubs, places like Restaurant Depot, and food service vendors like US Foods and Sysco.  Saving 20-70% in bulk or with an industry provider over getting a few percentage points back in credit card rewards (although these can still be obtained through wholesale clubs and Restaurant Depot since you can pay with a credit card) could means the difference between $3,000 in rewards vs saving tens of thousands of dollars.

THIS.... Restaurant Depot or some other... but since it's business Get the New Business Gold Charge and earn 4% in your top category up to $150k a year... 1 card and accomplish it all!

Re: Amex for Heavy grocery usage

I hope your friend doesn't actually have to pay the bill because as a small business owner Insta Cart is about the silliest business move EVER for grocery shopping, along with Amazon Fresh.
You have to have a restaurant depot or the like in the city you live...

and like I said just 1 card, the business gold charge.

auto 4% were you spend the most each month.... Membership rewards are far more valuable than cash if used properly
