If you use CLEAR and don't have something like a BBP/CSR/BofA Premium PH card, Green makes a lot more sense even alongside your other Amex cards.
Did you get some special promo for Blue Business Cash? I'd have thought you'd go for BBP instead, especially with your Schwab Platinum.

It was a $250 SUB and also....very very odd reason....I like the card design....I hate the BBP card design.

Green's credit worth only 10 dollar to me. Two lounge visit at 5bucks each. I will never sign my biometrics to alclear company.
I would suggest you take a look at your spending in realistic numbers and crunch numbers at thepointcalculator.com for comparison.
I spent less than a minute going through security at BOS this morning and less than 30 seconds (no joke!) going through LAX security (which was MOBBED) a few minutes ago. I'm happy to give them whatever they want. 😂
I never really felt I needed clear because the delay in security for me is rarely that initial check but the subsequent search/scanner which is what precheck helps with. Still its probably only a matter of time before I run into a delay.

Do you know if there is any elite status, fare class, or security program that will allow a Delta flyer at LAX to always drop off a checked bag at the terminal of departure, even if the general rules would require the bag to be checked at another terminal?
(For anyone confused, Delta has increased its LAX operations and is doing major construction to build a sort of mega-terminal...but for the next few years bag checking can be a bit of a hassle.)

I had a Clear Trial.
At SNA\LAX\AUS airports the Clear lines were much much shorter with often zero lines compared to TSA Pre.. However with Clear, you still need to take your laptop out of the bag and do all that stuff.
The TSA Pre-check lines can be pretty long these days. Once past that line, the TSA Pre-check allows you leave on your shoes, belt, laptop in bag, liquids, etc..
If I had the choice, I would get TSA-Pre. However, if I can get both, might as well as Clear will in most cases I have seen has much shorter lines than TSA-Pre.
Does the green card reward 3x for gas? Or is that the one part of "transit" they exclude?

I don't think it does I only think Premeir does travel that includes gas as travel. I still think if you want to go all in on Amex MR Green+EDP/ED is probably the best combo. Even better than gold+BBP, thats if and only if you are going to be 100% of your spend on Amex. Well if the vednor accepts amex that is.

Everywhere that I have seen, there is a CLEAR checkpoint for both regular screening and another one for TSA PreCheck. So having it lets you go to the front of either line (past the TSA agent that checks boarding pass and ID), so they are not mutually exclusive.
