Amex on-line CLI question.

Amex on-line CLI question.

Is it a soft or hard? I assume either way it is on EX.

Has anyone tried it?

My current CL is $3.4K - I was thinking of asking for an increase to a $7K.

Comments, suggestions????

Re: Amex on-line CLI question.

as someone just posted earlier, you can ask for 3x your current limit. for you that would be 10,200 making your new limit 13600!

Hi Techno,

I've had AMEX for 2 mo and just did a CLI on the phone.  Key was to not ask for more than 3x my current limit.  So.... 3.5k * 3 = 10,500.   What's cool, is that's *to* $10,500 - that's PLUS $10,500.  Maybe online, you should ask for $10,499 just to be safe?

My over the phone experience was easy, so that could be a route too?

Hope this helps!

Might be mistaken but phone might be a hard pull.

Re: Amex on-line CLI question.

I believe that Amex is usually a soft pull for a CLI.
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid
