So I just tried to make a payment on my new amex card and it wont let me do it thru their site???
It says i have no bill due. Am i going to need to make additional payments thru my banks bill pay
or am i doing something wrong?
thanks
Push the payment to them from your bank.
That works every time!

It's like that for the first bill when you first get it but after that you'll be able to pay whenever you want.

+1 I do the same.
You won't be able to pay it until your first statement cuts. When I received my card about 2 months ago, I was unable to pay the bill for about 6 weeks
If the payment is push to Amex from your bank account, will Amex process the payment (once received) immediately to reflect the new balance?
That has been the case for me, yes...

I did immediately set up a bank and did paperless statements when I activated the card. I'm not sure how that factors in.
In fact I had my first bill paid off before the auto-pay kicked in.
I too set up a bank and did paperless statements when I activated the card. Hopeflly that will enable me to pay my charges off as soon as it post on the Amex site. If not, I would have to push that sucker in through my bank.
