Re: Amex payments

Push the payment to them from your bank.

Re: Amex payments

You won't be able to pay it until your first statement cuts. When I received my card about 2 months ago, I was unable to pay the bill for about 6 weeks

Re: Amex payments

If the payment is push to Amex from your bank account, will Amex process the payment (once received) immediately to reflect the new balance?

Re: Amex payments

I was able to pay the first time stuff posted.

I did immediately set up a bank and did paperless statements when I activated the card. I'm not sure how that factors in.

In fact I had my first bill paid off before the auto-pay kicked in.

Re: Amex payments

You can make multiple payments 30 days after you setup your banking information and make your first payment with them.
After that time you can make multiple payment whenever a balance is posted to your account. However, if there is no balance and you want to over pay you can do so through the full website for any amount. But you can not over pay through the mobile site or the Amex app on your smart phone.

I too set up a bank and did paperless statements when I activated the card. Hopeflly that will enable me to pay my charges off as soon as it post on the Amex site. If not, I would have to push that sucker in through my bank.
