Amex pulling TransUnion? [UPDATE]

Had a hard inquiry show up today on CK for my PRG app last night.  Does this mean Amex triple-pulled me?  Or do they ever only pull one bureau that isn't Experian?

Update: See latest post on 2nd page.  They only pulled TU.

Re: Amex pulling TransUnion?

They will occasionally revert to pulling another CRA than Experian ~ no idea why though.     Or they might have triple pulled you.   You'll have to check your reports to know for certain.

Re: Amex pulling TransUnion?

Pulled my Equifax report (only one I have left from annualcreditreport.com) and no inquiry.  Now I'm curious if they pulled Experian, but probably not curious enough to pay for a credit report/do the annoying cancel-by-phone trials.

Re: Amex pulling TransUnion?

If you haven't already, you can sign up for either CreditSesame or Credit.com monitoring.  Both check Experian and both are free.

Re: Amex pulling TransUnion?

Amex likes to play games.

Theyll triple pull... approve you on one report TU... then soft Exp like crazy for the 61day 3xcli...

In your case, they may have just singularly pulled TU... I bet you can get an EXP report for free....

You get a free report any time you are denied... it has to be the report used for denial though... search around on the EXP site and find out how to get a report for being denied.. I bet you can get it !

Re: Amex pulling TransUnion?

Unfortunately I have (Quizzle too!).  I'll have to wait for those to update.

EDIT: I was approved for the card, and since charge cards have no APR rates, I doubt they'll send me my score.

99.9% of the time if your already a member it will be a soft.

if your blacklisted they wont even soft you.

if your not a member (currently have cards open with them) it will result in a hard pull.
