Amex transfer limits fail?

Just tried to transfer 2k from Mag to my new Bonvoy card. Written response in 7-10 days. Sounds like a denial? I transferred limits from ED to Mag before was almost instantaneous so not sure the issue?. Any ideas thanks.

Yes, I've been denied for this recently as well. I believe the letter stated the account wasn't old enough to transfer limits to or from.

How old are both accounts?

You must wait 30 days between reallocations.

I called Amex recently about this and that's what the rep said.

*IIRC, the donor card must be a year old (*might be 13 mos). They at least used to say the recipient card had to be 60 days, but this was either officially reversed or occasionally not enforced.

Well the Mag is definetly older than 30 days, probably not older than a year since its their new card. Bonvoy less than 3 weeks old.

And for how long have you had the ED?

The ED is 2 years old this Feb, Mag is 8 months old.

It honestly depends on the card. First you can as been stated only do one reallocation every 30 days and for some Amex still have 13 month rule being account must be 13 month old prior to reallocation as I have hit this before as well. Once it is 13 months old I can pretty much gurantee AJC they will do it for you when you ask then. Hope this helps
