Pre-2008 (I don't know about now), WF was able to pay less on deposits than many other banks, without losing a lot of customers. Maybe they are just going for checking/savings customers who like simplicity over rewards.

If you bank with them and like the convenience of monitoring things on one login, it's not like it's a bad card. It's not the best, no, but for many people it's not much of a difference.
+1
It's also an option if you have a checking account with them and need overdraft protection (albeit expensive if you ever use it).
Any thoughts on this Cash Back Card?
Some people place value on its cell phone protection coverage.
Other than that, it's not as good as other 1.5% cards, let alone 2% cards.
3% foreign transaction fee vs 0% on a Capital One Quicksilver.
Wells Fargo requires $25 increments for redeeming rewards, which is every $1,666.66 spent on this card.
If you have $49 in your rewards balance, you can only redeem $25, unlike the Chase Freedom Unlimited where you can redeem rewards for any amount any time.
The 1.8% redemption value on Android/Apple pay for 12 months is a cheeky twist, but otherwise.....meh.
A bunch of other cards are equal or substantially better.
For someone that banks there and Just wants a Credit card to have along side the debit it would be fine.
For us chickens here, it's probably on par with a flashlight with weak batteries.
