Just looking for a bit of advice. I had (have) 2 Credit One accounts from 3 years ago. I let both go June of last year. 1 resulted in 120 past due up until January when I paid it. The other resulted in a charge off and sent to collections which I paid in January as well. After going back and forth with GW letters and phone calls Credit One has reinstated both accounts and removed all past due marks on both accounts. 1 account has been completely cleared which the results of that on my scores are indicated in my sig. The other account just reinstated this morning and I'd expect will update on my report by the end of the week with all past due marks removed. With this last reinstatement and cleared derogatory marks, there will be zero baddies on my account and I'm thinking when this account clears I'll be somewhere in the 700's. Like anybody, I'd like to have some credit cards that offer rewards, specifically American Airlines, and wondering if anyone had any advice on types of cards for my profile and approval odds. Also, would you recommend closing one or both Credit One accounts? Here is some additional info to help out:
AAoA - 5 years 11 months
Longest - 11 years 11 months
UTI - 9%
Capital One Platinum Unsecured - $0/$500
Credit One - -$134/1200 (yes I have a credit of $134 on that account from a purchase I made that I returned but already paid the balance)
Credit One - $250/1050
No Derogs
Income is $85k
Thanks, everyone!
First congratulations on getting the lates removed and getting your cards reinstated! Second, wait for the update to your CR and then verify your CS. Third, try the solid pre approvals. Go for the CC that are the most usefull to you. Try the financial institution that you already have a relationship. Good luck!
