Just a warning for anyone who hasn't paid attention (which should be everyone here, but you never know).
It appears Sync has a 365 day threshold on inactivity. Opened a Care Credit last year for an emergency surgery for my dog toaccess the 6 months interest free they were offering at the time; paid off 4 months later. That was last November. Had a limit of 18000; saw this month they reduced it to 6000 for inactivity. Glad they didn't close it altogether (because I know they have for a lot of people). Just be warned - use it or lose it.
One recommendation for Care Credit cards is to go to your local vet once a year and buy something with the card that you would normally buy for your pet anyway like some treats, collar, toy, etc. in order to show activity.
OP, not sure if you care about the CLD or not, but you could always call them up and try to recon the CLD. Just tell them you were thinking of using the card for a [large] upcoming vet bill and now you can't and see if they're willing to restore it. No harm in asking since Synchrony CLI requests are SPs.

why call, just hit the luv button. Many cases, they will just give it back. But you gotta use it. Should treat Sync cards with kid gloves Even when adulting

You don't even need to go to the vet. You can use your card at Walgreens for a soda and a candy bar and be done with it. Care Credit is also accepted at Sam's Club and Walmart as long as its some sort of medicine or HBA product so a bottle of hand lotion or shampoo will work at those 2 places as well.
