Another datapoint for Care Credit Mastercard Upgrade

With no notification from Care Credit, a few weeks ago, I received the Care Credit Mastercard in the mail with an offer to upgrade. I had until 3/2022 to make a decision. Based on recent comments that Synchrony is no longer treating upgrades as new accounts I accepted the offer last week. The MasterCard is now showing on my credit report with an open date of 2018, so thankfully my history from the original card has been maintained. The original Care Credit card is no longer showing on my credit report.

Thanks to all those who shared their recent experiences with Synchrony upgrades, it was definitely the deciding factor for me.

Unfortunately, It's targeted, and there's no rhyme or reason to who gets selected.

After doing my research, I decided to go ahead and upgrade to the MC. Did this on 11/26 but it has not shown up on my CR as of yet. The CL has remained the same $20K. Would like an increase but I think I will lay low until next year to ask. Got an email from CareCredit back in Nov. offering a 5000 bonus points for signing up before 11/30 and spending $100+ before 11/30.  Did both.
