Maybe on top of the 5000 min CL you gotta have a AF... thats what im guessing
Conversely, I know someone who just got a Freedom Visa Signature card in the mail today with a $2,800 starting CL. Clearly it is not limit-dependent.
Do you know what APR that person has? Maybe has something to do with APR?
Try Commerce Bank Card Special Connections Reward card, I have a high limit through them and low APR. Right now there's a lot OF POINTS BACK for anything even cash.

That is the best rate for applying. FYI my Chase cards has 19.24% APR (0% APR for 6 months) with CL $3K, standard Visa.

Same deal here.
My Freedom has a 8k limit, and 12.99% variable purchase APR after a 0% promotional purchase and transfer APR for 15 months. It is a regular Visa, not a Signature.
