Re: Any downside of carrying all MasterCards in wallet?

I personally do not agree with the majority. I have run into more situation myself where it would have sent me home because I do not carry  another network card. I only have like a dollar in cash.

It happens not in small stores, but in places that can afford not to accept, or only accept one network.

I can recall government offices (where I had to use a debit card from another network instead), and especially Costco. Up until this year, I never knew Costco only accepts Visa. I went in, applied for new membership, and luckily for me, I had a Visa in my wallet. Even Kroger, a big chain, has been evaluating their Visa ban.

I have never run into a place that doesn’t take Mastercard and Visa I’ll say. This may prompt me to carry 4 cards instead of 3 though. I’ll just keep a Visa in the hidden card slot in my wallet in the rare event.
