I have received my third pre-select in the last month, and am going to pull the trigger at some point. If you have received a Discover card, particularly Discover More, please relay your vitals, i.e. FICO, baddies, State you live in, who Discover pulled, how many inq's, credit line granted, utilization, etc. Good stories especially welcomed!
I just appl. on the 21st and was approved for the discover moore card. Cl granted was $6225.00..my score was from 734 to 753 and they pulled all 3 CB..I only have 1 bad and it was a 30 day late 2 years ago..I only had 1 inquiry when i applied and it was for Amex which I did on 6-18 and i recieved Amex Blue for $8,000...no inquiry's when I appl. for Amex...Hope this helps.
I live in Texas and my utl. is 4%...I applied but I never recieved an invitation to. I applied online and recieved a reference number and was told to call..When I did they asked a few more questions and then said I was approved. Got the card yesterday.

don't want to app Discover, perchance?
Thanks BMW..and good job! Heartening to know the two "big boys" played well with others, and Discover didn't mind the new inq...Anonymous..very funny! Everyone has their own method of dealing with frustrations of the credit world!
I applied saturday 6/26 and was approved credit line granted $2.5k and was told 19.99% APR after intro rate..Geezus 19.99, scary isnt it?
I lived in Texas, Discover pulled Transunion, my credit score is over 700+, 8 inquiries but they are from 2009 and none in 2010.
If you are going to apply, i would recommend you to apply over the phone, have a chat with the rep and i believe the application is shorter than the one online.
Trust me!!..
Thanks creditcard101....why is over the phone better? Any baddies? Anything Discover looks for? Thanks again...
In the event the apps required questionnaire for security purpose, you can response quickly, which happen to me. Phone apps is way faster because they'll know you are the actual person applying for credit and not fraud. Also they dont ask much questions like the online application.
I believe if you got high credit scores with 100% payment on time payment history then you should be approved. I had one baddies to fall off in 08/2012..thats about it..
I consolidated a student loan 3 years ago; the old account is closed, but reporting baddies from confusion about forbearance that I am trying to work out currently, and I think I have a 4 year old 30 day on a credit card. Other than that, about 3 years of on-time payments...what do you think?
I think you may have a chance but to make sure your information is correct on your Transunion report. You can sign up CreditKarma.com and it's totally free and they use Transunion credit agency. It gives you the entire picture of your TU credit report, from credit score to payment history and overal grades..
Why did they report baddies when account is closed? When I consolidated my students loan, all others are reported as consolidated and closed. Since you have a 3 years of payment history then you should have a chance for approve. To make sure everything is correct, check creditkarma.com, it's free and it's the best free credit info from Transunion.
