Some time in April I will be requesting a CLI on my Navy Federal Platinum Visa and I will also apply for a NavCheck LOC. Right now I have three cards with a total CL of $3,000 and my utilitization is ~95%. My utilization will be down to at least 20% before I attempt to get any more credit. What tips can you guys give me on this? I would like to at least double my total CL from $3,000 to $6,000.
Right now, the limit on my Navy Federal card is $1,000. What is a reasonable amount for a CLI request? I've been with the bank for about 3 years, but my card is only 4 months old.
Navy Federal offers their Flagship Rewards Visa card with a minimum CL of $5,000. If I receive a CLI to $5,000 on my Platinum Visa, what shot do I have at being approved for a Flagship Rewards card?

I have seen threads where people say once they are at the $5k NFCU isn't too hard to do a PC to the siggy. Getting approved for it while keeping your current card will depend more on your credit profile. I would say get your util below 10% before applying for the navcheck. I have seen plenty people get a CLI at 4 months but I'm positive you will get better results if your util is below 10% and you wait until the 6 month mark. I've also seen NFCU give good increases with high util so ymmv
