Anybody ever appraise anything from CJ

Just wondering how bad their stuff is.  I looked on their website and it shows a crossed out price of about $2500 and then the CJ price of $999 or so.  Just wondering how much the stuff is really worth.  $999?  $500?  $250?  less?

Re: Anybody ever appraise anything from CJ

I have had my CJ account for about a year now.  It started at $1500 then
went to $2500 CL.  I have purchased quite a few items and I have been happy
with the quality.  I'm sure it is not the most top grade stuff but it isn't bad
either.  They send a certificate showing the value of the item... I have bought
two diamond rings and both had the certificate with the order.  All in all,
I don't think they are a bad company, although there seems to be a lot of
people here they think otherwise.  I guess there was some issue with paying
your bill on their web site or something.  I just mail in my check each month.
So far, so good and they report to the bureaus promptly each month.

Re: Anybody ever appraise anything from CJ

Probably not much different than other jewelers who run *sales*.  An appraised piece is usually worth 50% of the appraisal.

My earrings were cute, probably not worth $40, but it's all relative.  I haven't purchased anything else.
