Anyone have experience with the Chase Freedom 10% annual bonus

I have banked with Chase for years and I have the Freedom on my hit list in the number 2 slot behind Discover IT.

One thing that jumps out at me is that 10% annual bonus if you have a Chase Checking account, which I do and have for years.

I can forecast pumping about 30K through it annually so I am wondering if the bonus is geuinely 10% or am I missing something here?

Smiley Happy Thanks

I'm curious as well. I just got the Freedom card and have been banking with Chase for 5 years.

I just got approved for Freedom yesterday. I was thinking about opening an additional checking account ( currently I bank with DCU and Alliant) really have no need for a 3rd account but if theres a benefit -I might have to open an account. Smiley Wink

@Anonymous @ Pilotdude!  I am constantly getting those offers to open a checking account for a $200 bonus.

Guess I will take them up on it....just got an offer Saturday! Smiley Wink

Hey 09Lexie, mind PMing me one of those codes you get for the $200 bonus for opening up a Chase checking account? Smiley Happy I just got approved for the Freedom the other day, and would like to open up a checking with Chase as well. The best I can find is the $125. :/

Yes, it's 10% on all the points you've earned, so effectively 1.1% for base spending and 5.5% for quarterly bonus categories.
