Have you already spoken to Amex and had them try for you? I have found them to be very helpful and they were able to locate my information very quickly.
How do I do that?

Call customer service and they'll be able to dig out the number. Amex keeps everything. If you've had a card with them before, there's a record.
I had a statement dating back to 2000 and regular CS still couldn't find the account. Called and asked for an archive search. Was told they'll search and if the account is found the backdating would be done but they don't call back unless there's some issue. Logged in next day and the account was backdated to '95.
Wouldn't have known about the benefit, or to apply in January, if not for people here.
Member since date is listed month/year.
I really wanted to wait on the BCP until having a slightly higher score and lower utilization. Having a member since date of Jan 95 would have meant holding off another year on getting the cash back.
I just spent 30 minutes on call with AMEX customer service. They cant locate any information on me at all. They were able to pull my dad's card but not mine. I know I had a card with them and I know it was in my name. Any suggestions on how to proceed?
