Apping with an Invitation Code

Does applying for a card, with an invitation code from a pre-approval letter, help in any way? Ie, higher CL, better APR, greater chance of approval. It has to offer some sort of benefit since they provide it right?

IMO no, though it may allow you to app for the card in an area they dont service normally, FNBO does this for certain people based on credit qualification.
