Hi, new to the Forums. Here's the deal. Looking to finance a new Macbook, prob 13-15" pro.Have been working on my report, paid off old bad debts over past few months. Have nothing in collections, current on all 4 credit accounts. 1 close to limit, other 3 paid off. Score on Experian: 643. I have 7 inqueries, from opening two new cards in the past 6 months. How's it look for an approval?
Thanks!
Welcome to the forums! You will certainly find a lot of great information here.
2 things about your post...
If you pulled your score from Experian its not a true FICO score it would be what's called a FAKO score and lenders don't typically use those scores for credit decisions, Experian does not allow people to buy their true FICO score directly.
Since you are considering Barclays I would purchase your Transunion Fico score from here and myfico and that will give you a better idea where you stand score wise. Just do a google search for discount codes and you will find some. Barclays typically pulls TU so that would be my first step then we'd know what your chances are.
Thanks! Will Do!
TU: 624, Experian FAKO: 643.
Well I don't have this card but based on some other poster's experiences thats def on the lower end of what might get approved for the card. The one good thing about Barclays is that if you get declined you can call their backdoor number and request a Recon on your app and alot of times can get approved but the limit may not be as high as you want.
What does myfico say is bringing down your report and what is helping it?
