My wife and I both have the Apple Card. I happen to see the option to share my card now vs. the expected July timeframe.
I just sent my wife the Invite to share my card so it will be interesting to see how this will actually work out in terms of Credit line combinations etc...
It will be interesting to see if GS and Apple can truly pull this off. If so, whether other lenders will try to replicate a similar structure.
Apple has made significant advancement with digital cards.
Keep us posted! My wife and I both ended up getting Apple cards right before they announced the ability to share and combine lines. My wife's credit profile is significantly thinner than mine and has several negatives. Once we both get CLIs on our cards I would be interested in combining our limits. If it works how it is advertised then that would be my wife's highes CL on any non-AU card by a large margin.
So here is the email one gets for the Invite. It clearly states you can only have one card at a time and that your existing card wiil be closed. However, there is No mention of the two limits being combined.... My wife is at $14k and I am at $13k. I am holding for now.
One could try chatting with a Apple Card Specialist to get more details.....

Jane Doe has invited you to be a participant on their Apple Card.
You can only have one Apple Card at a time. Your existing Apple Card account must be closed before you can accept this invitation. Closing your account could impact your credit score and you will remain responsible for any account balance.
Contact an Apple Card specialist for more information. Available 24/7. Chat with a Specialist using the Wallet app or call 1‑877‑255‑5923.
Well that is very interesting it sounds significantly different that Apple's initial statement when they announced Apple Card Family:
"Available in the US in May, Apple Card Family allows two people to co-own an Apple Card, and share and merge their credit lines while building credit together equally."
The invite you receive sounds much more like an AU situation... I wonder if the card would report as a new account on both profiles? I feel like I am more confused now than before. lol
this has been out since 14.6 came out..the part about combining 2 accounts comes out in July and it still says that. This is just add an AU.
My wife and I still can't get Apple Cards, not that we need they beyond wanting them because they can't verify our ID at this point, but we were curious if AU get the card reported on their credit report.

I was approved for an Apple Card today and sent my husband an invite via family share. He accepted and updated his information with Goldman Sachs. Terms and conditions basic authorize user talk and they ordered him a card. My digital Apple Card was activated in his Apple Wallet as well. A couple hours later he deceided to complete the pre-approval app and was approved. Apple sent out an email stating, The Shared Apple Card can no longer be used for purchases. You have been removed from the shared Apple Card account as a Participant and no longer be able to make purchases on this card. In his Apple Wallet my Apple Card is listed as "closed" and his open. I was really hoping that we could be AU on each others cards.
