Apple Card shows "Restricted"

So, if there is a discrepancy between who the phone is registered to and who applied for the card, it would explain the need for identity verification

It’s doubtful. He linked it to his iPad Pro when I pointed out that if it’s not linked to an iDevice it will be closed. iPad is totally valid for application and use of the card. He applied with his own Apple ID so switching between devices shouldn’t be a problem.

So my phone is thru sprint and i am not the main person on the file who pays the bill every month, could this lead them to believe that this other person who is the main account holder has opened this card using my name?

I suppose that’s possible but wouldn’t they see your Apple ID is yours?

They should i recently confirmed my identity for Apple Cash in my wallet.

So I did a check on Reddit and came across quite a few reports along with this post in particular.

Seems plausible. There’s a phone number for GS in that thread from someone who got the issue resolved. 1-877-255-5923.

I HAVE FOUND THE SOLUTION!!!!!! i CALLED TODAY AND TOLD THEM THAT I WAS TOLD TO CALL BACK AND VERIFY MY INFORMATION. I DID NOT RECIEVE ANY CALL FROM THEM FIRST. THE SPECIALIST THEN ASKED ME A SERIES OF QUESTIONS AFTER ABOUT 10 MINS ON THE PHONE THEY FIXED MY ISSUE AND MY CARD IS USABLE ONCE AGIAN. I JUST EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT MY ADDRESS ON MY ID DIFFERS FROM MY CURRENT ADDRESS DUE TO A RECENT MOVE BUT NO RESTRICTIONS ANY MORE.GIVE THIS METHOD A TRY IT WORKED FOR ME.

Ugh I tried this (I also mismatch between IDs due to a recent move), but after several minutes they still told me they couldn't lift the restriction. Did they give you any other information?

No they didn’t I just explained my situation and that I was left a message to confirm my identity with them. Thanks I hope everyone else can get their issue fixed. If I were you I would try this method everyday until they fix it.
