Hey thanks for trying this @Cashbackjunky !
So for now, gunna leave our individual AC accounts alone.
My wife and I combined our accounts. It does not result in a hard pull.

Interesting, and can you confirm or deny about the history? Did it close your old Apple Card account and open a new one with 0 age?
I'd be interested about the history too @Anonymous. I decided to call again last night to double-check (I wanted the first CSR to be wrong). The second CSR confirmed it would result in a HP and open a new account (I didn't lead them there - I acted like it was the first time I was bringing it up)

TCL: $589.45k CCs:23 AAoA: 6yr 2mo Util: ~1% Derog: 0 |

My wife's history which is longer than my original card did not update. It still shows the original date I was approved for the card.

Interesting. Out of curiosity, how long ago did you guys merge them?
Cheers!

this is a great thread as I have been considering combining my card with my partner. Her's is older (unsure of her APR) and lower CL, while mine is newer (compared to hers) with a higher limit.
Day 1 went it was allowed after doing the ios uograde.
OP your scores are over 800? You'll be fine.
Besides, you are far enough into this thread now that you can't back out. We need the additional data point to confirm that no HP, no new account will result.
I honestly would listen to @Anonymous who has actual experience with a new, potentially confusing feature like this, rather than the multiple CSR who, bless their hearts, are easily confused when trying to understand what we mean when we ask about "Hard Pull" and "New Account".
So it appears that:
1. There is no hard pull to combine
2. Both accounts keep their individual age
