Application denied by/Amex..b/c DMP

Applied for an Amex Green last week and was instantly denied b/c DMP showing on  my CR (based on the denial letter). I was in a DMP, but came out 25 days ago. I guess I should have waited until it came off the CR. 

History: Chargeoff Amex Blue card for over 10k, but paid in full and was offered the OASIS card with CL of 5k. I didn't want to get the Oasis b/c of the negatives I discovered of people having a hard time to move from recovery card to primetime. This is what I read on the different boards, so I opted to apply for green charge card since my score is a lot better that what it was last year.  I cannot believe that this is the only thing keeping me waway fro getting the card. I even called the recon office but nothing can be done until the DMP stop showing on my CR.

My Scores: TU 698, EQ 680. lates are over 1.5 year old, no BK ever. Have other cc and two car loans. One loan PIF in 6 months. Salary over 80k/yr

Any suggestion. Anyone ever been denied for same/similiar reason and later reapplied and was successful?

Amex suggest I applied again after 30 days.

I don't really know anything about the Oasis program ~ but getting a $5,000 CL sounds like a good deal to me.   Even if the Oasis/Optima/whatever card won't ever become a "real" AMEX it at least gets you in the door.

DMP = Debt Management Program... While in it, it's kind of like a BK, but once complete could come out much better...

Now for OP... You opted NOT to take a Oasis Amex because of upgrades later!!!! $5k!!!!!  Ill just yell the rest in my house instead of type!

Congrats on completing the program but I would not suggest every turning down a $5k CL... I also don't remember being so many issues... I thought it was simple, you close Oasis card after a year and then you can apply for any Amex... but most were posting they wanted to PC because if you close the card and then can't get approved for a new card, you can't get Oasis back I believe is what I was hearing... may be wrong.

this is what happened to me in august 2010 when i first attempted to app for a blue cash. i still had this on one of my accounts; i had it removed right away and reapplied in october of 2010.
