@Anonymous wrote:I started out with Applied (It was CountryCross Bank) The fees are exorbitant. You pay for every cli. It was like 100.00 each time I got one. My highest cl before closing was 1575 They wanted to charge me so much a month when I got over 1000 so I closed.
They are pretty bad but served their purpose Probably on a par with Premier.
I foound HSBC and Cap One although cheap with clis to be better with their fees.

I hear your pain & absolutely agree with you!
I have the unsecured gold card and I HATE it! My limit is $1,200, and they charge a $15 monthly maintenance fee on top of my interest charges! Seems ridiculous to me. I guess I opted in to pay that...must have been a moment of desperation several years ago. Trying to pay it off, and will cancel (although I hate doing that) the card if they continue to charge that $15 monthly fee. Also want to mention on this forum that they would "hold" my payments for 5 days until they "cleared the bank" - I made all payments online (ACH) & ACH payments clear in 24 hours, regardless. My payment would hit my checking account, and days later my payment would still show up as "on hold" with Applied. Applied Bank is a risky, sneaky, and bad company - try all other avenues before going with them - I urge you! They also locked up my available credit for 2 months (I have excellent history with them) with no notice, reason, or explanation, and explained that I had no available credit because they were waiting for my payment to post, yet my balance was always below my limit - in what world does that make sense!? Ridiculous!
One last thing - their customer service hours are M-F 9-4 Eastern - so you have to deal with them when you should really be working to earn your paychecks. On a scale of 1-10 they get a big fat ZERO. I cannot wait to wipe my hands clean of them. I urge you to be fully aware of the nightmare you are signing up for!
