Applied for preferred thankyou but approved basic thankyou

Just applied a citi preferred thankyou, got instant approval for $1600 limit, but it looks like i only got basic thankyou card. no preferred mentioned after third step.

Is it possible to recon for upgrade to preferred thankyou card?

What were your scores?

You get ThankYou if CL falls below $2k, if above $5k you are issued TY Preferred World MC or Visa Signature. No way to recon an initially approved CL, Citi strictly enforces systematic decisions especially on applications outside of a few very narrow circumstances. You can try exec offices but there's no one to speak with that can overturn or recon the CL.

Is it possible to transfer partial credit line from my two other citi credit cards to make this cc reach the limit?

Idk much about merging CLs, but check this thread http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Citi-Credit-Cards-Credit-Limit-Consolidation/td-p/13163... for a recent discussion on the topic. Also moving from TY to TY Pref is a product change, not sure they will allow one so quickly after opening date. I know on my TY Premier opened last month, I can't PC into anything not even Preferred. I was approved for the Citi Thank you card CL$9100.. no signature..
