Hey Folks,
Just wanted to update everyone on my success. I've been working hard on trying to get a few Credit Cards with rewards from some of the "major banks" so to say (and a way to track spending, I can use different cards for different purposes).
I just turned 20 and it's been two years since I got my first Capital One secured card and I've worked hard to keep my scores stable, as someday I plan to buy a car/house and want the best possible rates so it's good to start young .
I went on an app spree last night and got the following approvals
Citi® Dividend Platinum Select® Visa® Card - $1200 Limit
Chase Freedom - $3000 Limit
American Express Blue Cash - $2000 Limit.
Existing Cards:
Walmart Store Card - $1000
Discover More - $1700
Barclay's Apple - $1300 (only card with a balance, 0% for 12 months): $500
Just pulled a MyFico and my Equifax is a 677 (Which Amex used for the app).
My TU through walmart is a 714 and Citi used my Experian which said it was a 697.
One of these reports has 20 inquires now (Back before I knew of all this stuff), so now it's time to simmer for a while and stand back to let me score go up .
Hopefully I am on the right track to credit
Congrats!! You say AMEX pulled EQ do you mind if I ask what state you live in and if your EX was frozen? Reason is they almost solely pull EX very surprised!

I'm guessing they probably pulled both; Amex will sometimes do that on their revolvers whereas charge cards are almost exclusively EX is my understanding of it.
Hello,
I am in Massachusetts and none of my reports are frozen. They could have pulled more but I just noticed since I bought a MyFico report after I did the app. Citi used my Experian report.
This is to confirm I pulled my Experian report and they also pulled my Experian too.
Congrats on the success my friend. Sounds like your off to a good start.
